Javed Jaffrey, whose name is synonymous with comedy, will next be seen in Mr Joe B Carvalho starring Arshad Warsi and Soha Ali Khan. The actor is playing the character of Carlos, and will be seen in a quirky avatar every time he comes onscreen. That’s not all, we hear that Javed had to sit for almost four to five hours, only to get his make-up done. Some of his looks in the film are that of an Afro man, a blonde woman, a sadhu baba and a Maharashtrian woman.
Director Samir Tewari said, “Javed Sir’s characters are a treat to watch. I remember when we were shooting for his sequences, he would take almost four to five hours for his makeup, and once he was ready he would be in character till the shoot came to an end. For example, when we shot the Maharashtrian maid look, Javed Sir spoke to everyone on the set in Marathi with a scary deep baritone, even when he was off camera, which was quite hilarious. It was surely a pleasure to direct Javed bhai"
