The unquestionable kings of the box office might not have impressed audiences with their work this year, but it would be stupid to dismiss the power of their megastardom. After all, it set the cash registers a-clinking, and brought in the mega-bucks, hai na?

If Shahrukh Khan’s Chennai Express was the biggest blockbuster of the year, Aamir Khan raced ahead of the baadshah with his latest release, Dhoom: 3. The biggies of B-town cemented their position with grand openings their movies received this year. And then there were others who set the box office on fire with stellar performances.

Farhan Akhtar’s portrayal of legendary sprinter Milkha Singh received tremendous response and television hottie Sushant Singh Rajput’s performance in Kai Po Che and Shuddh Desi Romance brought in a breath of fresh air. The charming Ranbir Kapoor might have been besharam in the choice of his movies and his off-camera histrionics, but with Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani the colourful lad proved that he is a crowd puller. Ranveer Singh too – with his incredible energy and raw, boyish charm – enchanted audiences with Lootera and Goliyaan ki Rasleela Ram-Leela.

As the curtains are drawn over 2013, here are some of the biggest successes of the year. You tell us, who should we call Entertainer of the Year?

Shahrukh Khan: He is not called the King Khan for nothing. While Chennai Express netted Rs 216 crore in India, it garnered serious moolah at international centres. This year – besides the regular international markets like US, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Germany – Rohit Shetty’s masala entertainer was screened at unconventional locations like Peru and Israel. In fact, the blockbuster film became the only Indian production to have fetched Rs 8 crore in the first weekend of its releases, proving that SRK continues to be the blue-eyed boy of the overseas market.

Hrithik Roshan: The third instalment of India’s most popular superhero franchise garnered a whopping Rs 166 crore in the first week of its release. Hrithik Roshan, with his super-heroic silver screen presence coupled with some really spectacular visual effects helped bagged the movie Rs 266 crore in total. The spectacular collections also showed the might of papa Rakesh Roshan’s flight of imagination!

Aamir Khan: The 48-year-old Khan dude might have struggled to draw himself to his fullest height to match with leggy beauty Katrina Kaif in the year’s much-awaited flick, but Mr Perfectionist is definitely standing tall and solid at Rs 211 crore at BO with Dhoom: 3. With nearly 100 percent occupancy in single screen theatres and 80 percent occupancy at multiplexes, Dhoom: 3 has become the fastest entrant to the Rs 100 crore club. Steadily but surely the shorty Khan on his killer bike is racing ahead of SRK in Chennai Express. Trade pundits are speculating that Dhoom:3 will easily cross the unbelievable Rs 300 crore mark!

Akshay Kumar: Akki had three releases this year – Special 26, Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobarra and Boss. While Special 26 made Rs 106 crore (gross), OUATIMD and Boss went on to make Rs 64 crore and Rs 45 crore respectively.

Ranveer Singh: The hyper energetic Singh lad won us over with his performance in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Lootera. Though the movie received fabulous reviews and positive critical appreciation, it failed to mint much moolah. And then came the big bucks. Credit it to his raw sex-appeal, his chiselled body or his sizzling chemistry with sassy Deepika Padukone in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s magnum opus Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela, the Singh dude helped make the film a certified hit!

Farhan Akhtar: From India’s legendary athlete Milkha Singh’s dream run to grab a glass of milk to his unbelievable leap of faith to make India shine on the international map was beautifully captured by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra in Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. Farhan Akhtar’s sculpted body and amazing intensity made him the Flying Sikh. No wonder then that the movie raked in Rs 104 crore at the box office and dashed to unbelievable glory!

Deepika Padukone opposite Salman Khan in Sooraj Barjatya next Film?

Salman Khan’s film with Sooraj Barjatya has been in the news for its female lead ever since the project was announced. This time too the film has made it to the headlines for the same reason. As per the latest buzz, Deepika Padukone is working out her dates for Sallu miyaan’s next. So has the reigning queen of Rs 100 crore club bagged Sooraj Barjatya’s film? Have the makers finally roped in Dippy opposite Salman? Well, nothing is official as yet but Ms Padukone is quite close to clinching the deal. While talking to a leading tabloid, Barjatya confirmed approaching Ranveer Singh’s alleged girlfriend for his film.

“We’ve had several meetings with Deepika and the talks have reached an advance stage. Right now, we are figuring out the dates since it’s a long schedule. However, nothing is official yet” said the filmmaker.

As per the earlier reports, Anushka Sharma, Ileana D’Cruz, Kareena Kapoor Khan and very recently Nargis Fakhri were being considered to play the lead role opposite the Being Human actor. But it seems the Chennai Express starlet will walk away with the coveted project, hai na?

Well, we certainly hope that’s the case coz we can’t wait to watch the very hot Deepika romance the eternal bachelor of Bollywood onscreen.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is 23 years old and from Chhattisgarh?

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is back in the news but this time it has nothing to do with her comeback film. Frankly, we are glad coz we have had enough of her I-am-still-to-find-a-good-script drama, hai na? Coming back to Aaradhya Bachchan’s mommy dearest, the babe has a new address and is just 23-year-old if the the voter list of Ghughri village in Pathalgaon Assembly constituency is to be believed. In fact, there is a picture of Ash with the rest of the details that confirms it is the B-town beauty and no one else with the same name. According to the voters’ list of polling station No 15, Aishwarya stays in house No 376 in the Chhattisgarh village and is just 23. Also, her father’s name is Dinesh Rai. While we dunno what the Bachchan bahu has to say of her new found identity, wethinks she would be happy at least with the new age.

Reportedly, the collector of the area has confirmed that there is nobody by this name in the village. Also, Bagicha Sub Divisional Magistrate K P Dewangan will be investigating the matter and submit a report within 15 days.

Chennai Express gets a spot in Google Zeitgeist’s list!

Chennai Express might have bagged mixed reviews with some critics even calling the action-comedy movie-starring Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles-boakwaas and over-hyped venture of the year, but there’s no escaping the fact that the movie set the box office on fire. SRK’s fans flocked to the nearest theatre to watch the Rohit Shetty’s masal entertainer and that helped the production garnered unbelievable moolah.

And now the blockbuster film has managed to get a spot in Google Zeitgeist’s list. In fact, Chennai Express is the only Indian movie to have been placed in that coveted list of the top trends of 2013. Almost shockingly, CE has been placed at the 7th position, ahead of internationally acclaimed productions like Les Meserables, The Conjuring and Argo.

Chennai Express was in over 3,500 screens in the India and 700 screens abroad including unconventional international markets like Peru and Israel.

Man of Steel, Iron Man 3 and World War Z are the top three leading movies to have grabbed the first three positions in the list!

With this remarkable achievement one can safely say that SRK’s incredible charm has once again proved that when it comes wielding his mega-stardom to best effect, no one quite does the way King Khan does!

Samajwadi Party MLA Abu Azmi on Tuesday said that megastar Amitabh Bachchan sharing the dais with MNS chief Raj Thackeray was an “insult” to north Indians.“Amitabhji sharing the stage with Raj Thackeray is an insult to millions of north Indians,” Azmi told reporters in Mumbai.

Azmi, who is also the state chief of Samajwadi Party, added that he was “pained” to see the iconic actor with the politician, who had launched a tirade against the north Indians. ”It was painful for us to see Amitabh Bachchan sharing stage with Raj yesterday,” Azmi said. He said the actor should now clarify whether Thackeray has accepted only him or all the people from north India. ”

Amitabhji should have asked the MNS chief to let go the hatred he has towards north Indians and also asked him to apologise to the north Indians,” the SP leader said. “Raj has been playing politics and has been fooling the Marathi-speakers dividing the country on regional lines,” he alleged. Meanwhile, the Congress also criticised the MNS leader over his “double standards”.

“Finally Raj Thackeray realised his mistake. He has adopted double standard approach to win votes,” Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Sachin Sawant said in Mumbai on Tuesday.

Relations between the MNS chief and the Bollywood icon were strained for the past five years after Thackeray had criticised the actor for becoming the brand ambassador of Uttar Pradesh. Later, the MNS had also targetted Jaya Bachchan after she had said at a public function that being from Uttar Pradesh, she would prefer to speak in Hindi instead of Marathi.

ABVP to protest outside Sanjay Dutt’s house!

Sanjay Dutt is certainly controversy’s favourite child, no? Only few days ago, the actor walked out of the Yerwada jail on a month long parole. Not so long time ago, Sanjay was out on furlough for a few days in October, which was extended due to his ill health. This time around, the actor has been granted parole due to his wife’s illness. The fact that Sanjay was granted parole twice in such a short gap of time gave rise to many controversies. And now we hear that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) will be protesting outside Dutt’s Bandra residence today.

Well, there have been reports that higher-ups in the government have been showing favouritism towards Sanjay Dutt and are being too lenient in his case. The Aamir Khan-starrer big-budget action thriller Dhoom:3 has collected Rs 69.58 crore – which includes earnings from Tamil and Telugu versions – in two days of its release according to the official statement.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, the third installment of YRF’s popular Dhoom franchise came out this Friday and opened to mixed reviews. But it seems the box office collection is satisfactory. On Friday, the well-packaged enrapturing drama clinched a total of Rs 36.22 crore at the box office, while on Saturday the earnings were recorded to be Rs 33.36 crore.

Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who have been constant in the cast sinceDhoom”, reprised their roles of cop and sidekick, respectively. Katrina Kaif added to the glamour quotient of the film.

Arshad Warsi, who wooed the audience as Babban in Ishqiya is back in that avatar in the sequel of the film titled Dedh Ishqiya. This one also stars Naseeruddin Shah, Madhuri Dixit and Huma Qureshi. We caught up with the funny man to ask him about Dedh Ishqiya, the third installment of Munnabhai and more. Here is what he had to say…

Your character Babban is going to the next level in Dedh Ishqiya….

Babban is exactly the same and there is no difference. It’s just that this time there are newer situations and there is a different place.

Vidya Balan won’t be seen in Dedh Ishqiya….

Of course, I did miss her a lot. She is a very dear friend of mine. Having said that, I will also say that there was no role for Vidya in Dedh Ishqiya. Unfortunately, Vidya’s story got over with Ishqiya. I wish it did not. Had it not, she definitely would have been in the sequel. I must say that Dedh Ishqiya is an entirely different episode.

Now that Begum Para (Madhuri Dixit) is in Khalujaan’s life, how has that affected Babban and Khalujaan’s friendship?

It has affected their friendship a bit. Babban is definitely thinking that Khalujaan has lost it completely. So yes, it has affected it, but when you see the film and as the story progressed, you will come to know more about their friendship.

How would you describe your chemistry with Naseeruddin Shah on the sets?

We are dear friends. The ice was broken in Ishqiya itself. He enjoyed my company and I enjoyed his. Recently I had gone to Goa with my family for a vacation and Naseer sa’ab was shooting there. So I called him up, which I would not normally do to anybody. I asked him to come over and we partied together in my hotel. We had a lot of fun. So this is the kind of friendship we share with each other.

What kind of box-office outcome do you predict for Dedh Ishqiya?

Looking at the quality of the film, I think it is going to be a huge success. I do feel that Dedh Ishqiya will do really well, because it really takes our cinema to another level. Everything in this film – from conversations to direction – is really good.

Your fans have been waiting to see you as Circuit again. What’s the status of the third installment of Munnabhai?

Subhash (Kapoor) has an idea and I think he is working on the script right now. So it should take another year or a two. We are waiting for Sanju (Sanjay Dutt) to come out and as soon as he does, I think we will start working on it.

You have worked with a lot of people, but who is that one person who has left an impact on you?

All my co-actors have impacted me in some way or the other. But I have gotten really close with Naseer sir. I think some where our sensibilities have matched. I am also good with Sanju. Boman is someone I have known for the longest time. But I never really thought that I would get along really well with Naseer sa’ab. He comes across as this very serious guy and I am someone who doesn’t care to be serious at all. So yeah, each and every of my co-actors has impacted me.

Before Dedh Ishqiya, you will be seen in another film called Mr Joe B Carvalho, which also has Soha Ali Khan and Javed Jaffery. Nervous or excited?

What are the other projects are you working on currently?

I will be starting a film called The Legend of Michael Mishra in January. And after that there isGuddu Rengeela, which is being directed by Subhash. And then there is another film that is not yet titled, that will be a mix of satire and emotion.

Conspirators trying to frame Salman Khan, come under Police Net.

Salman Khan was being implicated in another legal soup but the extortionists were arrested, much to his relief. 44-year-old Hardev Singh, a resident of Rajouri Garden, Delhi and his cousin Devender Singh of the same age, hatched a conspiracy to extort money from the Jai Ho actor and also pressurized him into doing an item song for their film.

The duo had implicated the Wanted actor and his manager Reshma Shetty in a shootout case in Delhi, but were soon caught by the Delhi police. They later testified that the case was fake. According to the police, the duo had involved many others in false cases, and some of the offences were as serious as rapes, murder and kidnapping.

Wethinks this would be a welcome breather for the Ready actor from all his legal troubles. Congos Salman! One down, only a few more to go..Haina?

Not Salman Khan, Not Aamir Khan its Shahrukh Khan the sexiest man!

Shahrukh Khan has been voted as the sexiest man in Bollywood. What more, SRK has beaten all other contenders by bagging 50.35 percent votes! BollywoodLife received 36,163 votes, of which 18,208 were won by Shahrukh alone. Though initially there was tough competition, the Chennai Express actor raced past everyone and then there was no one who could catch up with him. The second position has been claimed by John Abraham, with 6,067 votes (16.78 percent).

It was surprising that Salman Khan’s fans didn’t contribute much to this poll. The Dabangg dude bagged 4,930 votes, which is about 13.63 percent only. Following Sallu is Shahid Kapoor who won about 9.61 percent votes (3,475 votes). The Greek God of B-town, Hrithik Roshan managed to pull 2.62 percent votes (946). The hot star of Ram-Leela, Ranveer Singh was a lil behind with 911 votes (2.52 percent). A lil behind Sasha is the Dhoom:3 actor Aamir Khan with 2.4 percent votes (869 votes). Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan managed to pull in a meager amount of 266, 194 and 110 votes each respectively. Surprisingly, Arjun Rampal won only 97 votes. And the most shocking bit was Ranbir Kapoor who bagged the least number of votes, only 88 to be precise!

Sandeep Acharya, who won the second season of Indian Idol in 2006, passed away at a Gurgaon hospital today. The singer was critical and had to be admitted to a local hospital in Bikaner. When Sandeep failed to show progress, he was shifted to Gurgaon, which is where he breathed his last at 9am today. Sandeep is survived by his wife and a one-month-old daughter. His last rites will be performed at his hometown in Bikaner.

Tinsel town celebs have expressed their shock at the sudden death of this talented singer. Many took to the mic-blogging site to offer condolences.

Sandeep had received his Indian Idol 2 trophy from the very talented Deewana singer. And the news of Acharya’s demise hasn’t sunk in as yet for Sonu Nigam.

Madhuri Dixit-Nene will be seen on the big screen in Vishal Bhardwaj’s Dedh Ishqiya that also features Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi and Huma Qureshi. After 2007 film Aaja Nachle, Madhuri makes a comeback on 70mm after almost six years and she chose and unconventional sequel to a hit film Dedh Ishqiya. While many wonder if it was Aaja Nachleis fate at the box office that prompted Mads to stay away from silverscreen. Here’s why Madhursi did not pick a film in all these years. In an interview Madhuri said, ”I didn’t wait for seven years for the script. I have my reasons. I was not even living here before. I was staying abroad so to come here and work and go back was getting very tedious. That was one of the reasons I didn’t do anything, but when I decided to come to India and settle here, that time I decided to read scripts and Dedh Ishqiya was offered. I was confident that Vishal and Abhishek team makes good films and I would love to be part of it.”

Indian Idol 2 winner Sandeep Acharya passes away!

Sandeep Acharya best known as the winner of Indian Idol season 2 passed away in Delhi today. Sandeep was suffering from Jaundice and was admitted to Medanta hospital in Gurgaon.

Sandeep’s sudden demise has shocked everyone and his relatives and friends at his native place started gathering outside his house, to condole his death. As per relatives, Sandeep’s body will be taken back to his house today at late night. The singer was 29 years old. Two days back the singer’s Facebook page saw a post from Akshay Acharya who informed that Sandeep was ill and admitted to the hospital. Acharya had posted, “Dear Friends..i am Akshay Acharya … inform you that Sandeep`s health not well and admitted in Medanta hospital Delhi. he’s on bed rest for 2 months.. So All events and shows are cancelled.. for any information and upcoming shows .. contact on this number”

Sony Entertainment Television also was shocked on hearing about Sandeep’s death, their Facebook page read, “A big loss for all of us with the shocking demise of Indian Idol 2 winner Sandeep Acharya. May his soul rest in peace and may God give strength to his family in this extremely difficult time.”

Acharya was the runner up in the Golden Voice of Rajasthan. He was crowned the winner of India Idol Season 2 on 22 April 2006. This win got him a Rs 10 million contract from Sony BMG, a music album contract and a brand new Maruti Baleno car.

Sandeep also participated in a TV show on channel 9X – Jalwa Four 2 Ka 1 on Mika‘s team. He was also the winner of the best new Bollywood talent in New Jersey, USA. He won the Sur Aradhna award in Delhi’s Siri Fort Auditorium for best upcoming male singer category.

"I Beleive Salman Khan And Me Are The Biggest Star Of Bollywood" - AAMIR KHAN

Aamir Khan, one of Bollywood’s top stars who is set for the release of his Dhoom:3, doesn’t believe that rivals can’t be friends. He not only adores his contemporary Salman Khan but also believes that Salman is a bigger star for his ability to carry a film solely on his shoulders. “I don’t believe that rivals can’t be friends,” Aamir also said, “I believe Salman and I are big stars and I want both of us to do better and better in our films.”

Aamir emphasises on content while Salman is for potboilers. Salman’s stakes went up after the success of pan-India action drama Dabangg, a film that appealed to both masses and classes. In the last three years, all his releases, including last year’s Dabangg 2 and Ek Tha Tiger, crossed the Rs 100-crore mark, even though they were panned by the critics. “Personally, I feel he is a bigger star than me. He has the ability to take a film on his shoulders. I see that in him. I don’t think I have that. I don’t have any hesitation in saying that, because that’s the truth,” said Aamir, praising his colleague.

The Talaash actor also said, “I am fond of him. I love him. I like people doing good work.” It’s not only Salman that Aamir appreciates. Any good film starring anyone makes the actor joyous. “I am not that kind of person. I want to do good work, but it doesn’t make me feel bad if someone else does well. I am also an audience and I love to see good work. Good work gives me joy; so I don’t have that sort of competitive spirit in me and I am happy about that,” he said.

His first and last release of the year, Dhoom:3, a Yash Raj Films’ banner offering, is coming out Dec 20 and Aamir is missing legendary filmmaker Yash Chopra, who died last year. “I share a great relation with the Yash Raj banner. I respect Yashji a lot. Today he is not with us and one of the biggest things I will miss is that Yashji will not be there to see ‘Dhoom:3′,” said Aamir who was directed by the late filmmaker in 1993 film “Parampara”.”Yashji was part of the planning process and he very keenly followed the progress on the script. “I was telling (Yash Chopra’s son) Aditya that one of the biggest regrets I will have is that Yashji is not here to see the film. We are going to miss him,” said Aamir. He however equally admires and has “very high regards for Aditya as a producer and director. He is very creative”.

Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya, “Dhoom 3″ also features Katrina Kaif as well as the duo Abhishek Bachchan-Uday Chopra who were in the first two parts as well. It is often said that Bollywood is still star-struck but Aamir disagrees.

“I don’t think Bollywood is star-obsessed, I think the people are, audiences are. And it’s fine! Even I am star-obsessed. I am a big fan of Amitji (Amitabh Bachchan), Dilip Kumar, and Waheeda Rehman. I have been star stuck myself, nothing wrong in that,” said the 48-year-old.

Kamya Punjabi evicted - BIGG BOSS 7

From the last three seasons of Bigg Boss, we have seen the female television actors coming out of the glass walled house as winners. While season 4 was won by Shweta Tiwari, season 5′s trophy was bagged by Juhi Parmar and Urvashi Dholakia emerged victorious in season 6, but this streak is finally broken in seventh season of this high voltage reality show. Yes, Kamya Punjabi who was the only female TV actor remaining in the house has been eliminated today.

Kamya’s motive to enter the house was very clear. One of the famous vamps of small screen wanted to spend some time with herself because just few days before entering the house, she got a divorce from her husband Bunty Negi. Kamya’s journey inside the Bigg Boss 7 house was one heck of a roller coaster ride. She saw some ups and also saw some lows. During her stay in the house, Kamya bonded well with fellow contestant and another TV actor Pratyusha Banerjee. Dhoom:3 plot leaked!

Dhoom:3 has been creating a lot of buzz and everyone has been waiting with bated breath for the film which stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra to release. A lot of rumours are doing the rounds that the ticket prices of Dhoom:3 have been raised to Rs 500. Despite this, some of you would still want to catch the film, while there will be some who would think that Rs 500 is a little too much for Dhoom:3.

So this is the story for the people who belong to the latter group. Fair warning. Peeps who wish to watch Dhoom:3 in the theatres don’t read ahead. If you still wish to, then don’t blame us.

The story of Dhoom:3 has apparently been leaked. Yes, you heard it right! An entertainment website has revealed the plot of the film, which goes something like this – the film begins with Sahir assisting his father, played by Jackie Shroff. Sahir learns all the tricks from his father. The father (Jackie Shroff) is murdered, or either killed, due to somebody or some incident at the circus. Sahir promises to take revenge. Same old stuff, isn’t it? The film then takes a leap. The adult Sahir is played by Aamir Khan. He is working in the same circus his father used to work, and has beautiful gymnast Aaliya (Katrina Kaif) for company. Sahir is out to rob all the money that’s made by the owners of the circus, who according to him are possibly involved in his father’s death or murder. He is successful in two attempts. Now, enters ACP Jai Dixit (Abhishek Bachchan), along with Ali (Uday Chopra). Their task is to nab the master robber!

They know the master robber is Sahir, but do not have any proof. Thus, a trap is laid out to catch him red handed. Now, begins the cat and mouse game. The prime target is to catch Sahir in action. Will Sahir be caught in the end (like John Abraham in Dhoom), or would be given a chance to start a new life (like Hrithik Roshan in Dhoom 2); what would happen in end? That’s for you to find out when the film releases.

Well that’s a good thing that the website has not revealed the entire plot. So if you wish to find out that what happens in the end, go to the theatres, but again if you are happy with this much, say thank you. Wink wink!

Hrithik Roshan-Sussanne’s separation not ‘closure’ - Sanjay Khan

Actor-filmmaker Sanjay Khan on Friday said that the decision of his daughter Sussanne and son-in-law Hrithik Roshan to separate was not a “closure”, but the couple needed some space to resolve their issues. Hrithik said in a statement earlier on Friday that “Sussanne has decided to separate from me and end our 17-year relationship“.

When asked for his reaction, Khan said, “Like any other normal couple they also have some issues. Just because Hrithik is a superstar, doesn’t mean he will not have personal issues. They both are intelligent and wonderful people. It’s just that they need space. Of course this is not a closure. “They respect each other. To resolve issues, may be this is what they thought was good,” he said.

BIGG BOSS 7: Armaan father files defamation suit against Sofia Hayat!

British singer-actor Sofia Hayat, who was evicted from the Bigg Boss 7 house last week has filed a police complaint against fellow contestant Armaan Kohli, alleging that she was manhandled and subjected to violent behaviour by him inside the glass walled house. And now, in reply to Sofia’s complaint, Armaan’s father, producer Rajkumar Kohli has filed a defamation case against the British celebrity.

A statement was issued on behalf of Rajkumar Kohli regarding this entire scenario. “Since the past few days, ever since her eviction from the Bigg Boss house, Sofia Hayat has been trying her level best to gain cheap publicity by continuously maligning Armaan`s name in various sections of the media,“ the statement reads. “She has been saying that she has filed a complaint on the advice of Gauahar Khan as well as Kushal Tandon for the incident which happened in the Bigg Boss house and was watched by millions of viewers.“

And there is more: “This is just a show and had any violence taken place in the true sense of the term, the Bigg Boss team would have surely taken action against Armaan.” The statement also talked about the police complaint filed by Sofia on Wednesday morning at the Juhu Police station. “These comments made by Sofia are causing irreparable damage. To put an end to Sofia Hayat’s publicity gaining tactics, we have got in touch with our legal team and are in the process of filing a defamation suit against her.”

TV actor Jay Bhanushali and newbie Akhil Kapur are making their debut with Anand Kumar of Zila Ghaziabad fame’s Desi Kattey. The first look of the movie which went on floors this October is out and the actors showcase a very rugged and gangster look.

The story of the film is about two kids who grow up making pistols in a factory. As adults they become sharp shooters under the training of a coach played by Suniel Shetty. The movie revolves around Kanpur and gives the vibe of an underdog story.

This could be a career changing move for the Dance India Dance host and for all you know he may walk into his show as a celebrity guest some day. But does that mean Jay will give up television completely? Wait and watch!

Kamaal R Khan homophobic?

There’s a new b*** in B-town! She is err..he is (you decide) Kamaal R Khan. TheDeshdrohi actor, who can’t even act or speak properly to save his life, is the most annoying species on Twitter you can ever come across. Khan whose linguistic ability is as obnoxious as his buffoonish appearance and his dressing sense is always ready to give his opinion on various social, moral or filmi issues at the drop of a hat. And going by his recent tweets one can get a clear idea of his ‘beautiful mind’ lurking behind the hideous looking face.

So when the Supreme Court set aside a historic 2009 Delhi High Court judgement that decriminalised gay sex on Wednesday, making homosexual act a punishable offence, KRK has his take ready on the issue. “Thanks to Supreme Court to stop mentally sick people from making India dirty. Now some gays are crying n all other Gays are supporting them,” tweeted the loudmouth Kamaal.

Eminent Bollywood celebrities and media personalities including Anupam Kher, Rahul Bose, Chetan Bhagat, Vikram Seth, Karan Johar, Farhan Akhtar, Celina Jaitley and many others vented their disgust vehemently over the issue by taking to Twitter. Some even expressed shock and dismay over the Supreme Court’s decision that many thought was highly regressive, brutal and insensitive. In the wake of this controversy how could our colorful dude ( read:uncle) keep his trap shut? He unleashed a barrage of (his usual ill-informed) opinions on twitter. “Most of the media ppl n Bollywood ppl are supporting Gays because maximum Gays are in media n Bollywood only,” tweeted the hyperactive (self-proclaimed) star!

PS: After taking a liberal dig at Salman Khan’s sexuality (the superstar’s virgin status) and making mockery of Shahid Kapoor’s latest release recenly, along with his regular potshots at political leaders, KRK could not find anything he could yank on about.

Its's A Baby Girl For Fardeen Khan!

Fardeen Khan and his wife Natasha have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The actor’s cousin, jewellery designer Farah Khan Ali was the first to announce this piece of good news on Twitter. Farah congratulated the new parents. Khan Ali tweeted, “Woke up to wonderful news. My cousin Fardeen and his wife Natasha were blessed by a beautiful baby girl Diani Isabella Khan yesterday (Wednesday). God bless my little niece with loads of health, wealth and happiness. Congratulations to the parents” Farah posted on her microblogging page yesterday.

This good news comes is welcomed by both the parents and their family. Apparently Natasha had a tragic miscarriage of twin babies last year. Natasha, who is the daughter of veteran actress Mumtaz, married Fardeen in December 2005. And with this little angel, we’re sure this family will make for a perfect family picture.

Shahid Kapoor was spotted recently at Mumbai’s popular theatre. The 31-year-old was promoting his recently released flick R.. Rajkumar. Sasha was heavily guarded by a security cordon comprising many beefy bouncers. The star’s charming presence saw the crowd going absolutely berserk and that’s when a bouncer was clicked doing something that was not only shocking but also highly disturbing.

This pic doing the rounds in the internet space and it has also been handed over to Additional Commissioner of Police Vishwas Nagare Patil. “This photograph is circulating in the media. We are yet to receive an official complaint. However, a similar case had taken place at Lal Bagh Ka Raja during Ganeshotsav festival. We are contemplating on how to take the necessary action,” maintained Nagare Patil.

Not so long time ago, the Chennai Express actor was spotted in a rugged avatar. And do you remember the blonde streak that SRK was seen flaunting? He had also grown his hair, so that the blonde extension fell below his ears. And now, the actor has gotten rid of his beard. What more! SRK has a new hair-do too and it looks kinda cute. Shraddha Kapoor out of "Gabbar"?

A little birdie tells us that Shraddha Kapoor was asked to walk out of Gabbar.Gabbar is a remake of the Tamil film Ramana, with Akshay Kumar playing the male lead. So, why was the Kapoor lass asked to walk out by producer Shabina Khan?

Well, the Aashiqui 2 actor is currently busy shooting for Mohit Suri’s The Villain and Vishal Bhardwaj’s Haider. However, we hear that Haider’s schedule has been changed as the male lead Shahid Kapoor has decided to take a break. The R…Rajkumar actor is on a small break and will resume shooting only in January 2014. So, Haider’s shooting will clash with the shoot of Gabbar, which is all set to go on floors from January 8, 2014. Considering that Shraddha plays the leading lady in both the films, it’s obvious that her dates would clash and so she was asked to walk out.

The story doesn’t end here! A professional that Shraddha is, she offered to adjust her dates. However, producer Shabina couldn’t understand how she would do it. ‘Coz Shraddha would be shooting for Haider in Kashmir and she would be required to shoot for Gabbar in Mumbai. So, the filmmakers didn’t want to take a chance of last minute changes and felt it was best if Shraddha walked out.

Aamir Khan will not promote Dhoom: 3?

Aamir Khan does not want to promote the film. Well, not exactly, AK was at a press meet for his film where he confirmed that he will not do the regular promotional activities for his much awaited film. Aamir feels the mantra of promoting Dhoom:3should be to talk less about it and let audience take a call. The actor who is known to be the creative mind behind film promotions said at a recent event, “We are banking on the creative side of Dhoom :3. We believe in less is more. We don’t want to go out and scream about the film. Today, the audience is intelligent enough to choose which film they want to go and see. We respect the intelligence of the audience. Marketing is something which is taken care by the producer and the director. If my suggestion is required then I give it.”
